New Video to Assist Community School Directors Lead With Passion and Purpose

New York, NY – With the support of the Mott Foundation,  on Thursday, May 11, 2017 Children’s Aid NCCS began shooting a training video for directors of community schools, conceived, produced, written, and directed by NCCS’ and community schools’ team.  The video, entitled Leading with Passion and Purpose: A Day in the Life of a Community School Director, illustrates the role and skillset a community school director needs in order to lead and manage community schools, not as jacks-of-all-trades, but as a problem-solving leader with a clear sense of effective and intentional use of self.
The video is a complement to a training guide and module also funded by Mott.  The entire project should be ready by mid-July. We have no doubt that it will be a significant tool to ensure the effective implementation of community schools --a smart strategy that for over 25 years has been supporting the education and development of thousands of children and low-income families across the United States and many other countries on six continents… Our team is delighted, special thanks to the Mott Foundation and all that made this project possible!
